Reduction of Plastic Usage
One of the easiest ways to enhance the sustainability of any process is to make more while using less. PrintFoam enables its customers to make A LOT more with A LOT less. Through a combination of lattice structures and foamed plastic materials, one can achieve ULTRA low-density structures that are roughly 30% of the weight of comparable 3D printed lattices without our foaming technology.
Carbon-Neutral Bio-Sourced Materials
Similar to biodiesel, plastics can be generated from bioderived feedstocks which have actively sequestered carbon content from the atmosphere creating a path to carbon-neutrality. Depending on the materials used, our foamed materials can be nearly 50% by weight bioderived feedstock.
Lean Manufacturing with Production on Demand
As an additive manufacturing technology, PrintFoam enables extreme examples of the ‘Lean Manufacturing’ model to be implemented. The ability to produce parts on-demand from readily available feedstocks enables PrintFoam to help its customers to eliminate overproduction, minimize waiting and idle times, minimize the costs of transport, and eliminates the need for holding large inventories.
